Permission; Blue Magic/Illusions
Jan. 2nd, 2012 03:03 amAs seen in Re: Chain of Memories, Zexion has the ability to 'steal' or 'mimic' abilities that his opponent possesses, similar in nature to the ability possessed by a Blue mage in FF games. One might also say, he's similar in nature to a mime in being capable of copying the actions or abilities of people.
Zexion's element is illusion, and thus he is capable of affecting the minds of those around him, via fooling the five senses into believing that things are other than what they really are. He can change his appearance, voice and mimic being another person altogether if it so suits him and his plans. (As he did with Riku, turning into Sora to taunt and attack the boy as Sora) It stands to reason he could also change the appearance and voices of others if it so suited him to do so.
As seen in Final Mix, he seems to be capable of trapping people inside his Lexicon, but I'm of the mind that is no more than a rather elaborate illusion, tricking the mind into believing that you've been transported into somewhere new. Obviously if you locate and beat on the one who cast the illusion, you will find yourself where you were before you were 'trapped' since one would need to maintain concentration to keep up such an elaborate illusion, which you can't exactly do when you're being beaten on.

For the sake of not god-moding or OP; I've placed a cap on Zexion's illusions in some games. Basically, when Zexion casts an illusion, he'll only have complete control over it for several seconds before the control is shifted to the one viewing it. If the person viewing it, believes what they see, the illusion remains until they break it themselves via disbelief or Zexion himself brings it to an end. If when the shift happens, the person disbelieves any of it, the illusion will fall and come to an end.
Either way, the beginning several seconds usually give Zexion enough time to flee if that is his intent in casting the illusion in the first place.

If your character possess any abilities that you're willing to allow Zexion to mimic/learn/steal, please comment with the character name below, what game their in and what abilities that Zexion can learn from them? Usually this will only come into play if your character has decided to go up against Zexion in a fight, since he has no reason or ability to otherwise do this thieving of powers/abilities.
Also, what would affect your character the most if Zexion were to use illusion against them in an attempt to mess with their minds in a likely bid to escape? Do they have any fears that would cause them to freeze up or loved ones that they'd hesitate to attack?
Last but not least; Zexion is at times prone to hatching plots and making plans to gain what he desires, be it information or other things. This means he's as apt to make friends with characters only to end up using them for possibly not so friendly things. Or to experiment on them should he desire to test out a certain theory which has caught his attention. Would you mind being used by the man in any way, how far is too far in the matter of being used? Would you be more apt to end up using him or perhaps you'd just end up using each other?
If you want, feel free to TL;DR at me about any of the above questions! I won't mind.
