Illusion/fears: Shelly's loved one is her best friend, Leslie, whose appearance would startle her but probably soon be dispelled with verbal prodding. She doesn't have a particular fear that would cripple her. On the other hand, Walter's most "cherished" individual is the Merines by nature of his duty as her guard, and he would never, ever lay a finger on her. Relatedly, he fears being rejected by her/her choosing her "brother" over him.
Using: Zexion is welcome to use either for whatever he desires. However, as a politician Shelly will be wary if, for any reason, she becomes suspicious, and Walter seldom gives anyone the benefit of the doubt. While Walter is more likely to outright ignore or brush him off, Shelly may play along for the thrill and observe. She won't mind if it's something harmless, as well.
